Privacy Policy

Study Grounded stores: (a) your email address for authentication, (b) resources you upload and the passages derived from them, (c) your question history and the AI answers, and (d) anonymised usage counters (token totals, upload bytes) used to enforce quotas.

• Questions & answers: the latest 100 per account, and anything older than 60 days is deleted automatically.
• Resources: kept until you delete them or close your account.
• Rate-limit logs: purged after 24 hours.
• Auth session: tokens live 1 hour and refresh silently.

Your resources and questions are scoped to your account and never shared between users. When you ask a question, the passages retrieved from your library are sent to the selected AI provider (DeepSeek, OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google) for inference. Providers process data under their respective privacy terms.

• Delete any resource or past question from the dashboard at any time.
• Export your full question history as JSON.
• Request account deletion by emailing support; we purge your resources, chunks, queries, and quota rows within 7 days.

We use one cookie — sb-*-auth-token — to keep you signed in. It is required for the app to work and is deleted on sign-out.
